Why Preschool is So Important

If you’re worried about sending your kids off to preschool you’re not alone, most parents go through this.  They are your baby and your not ready to let them go.  Preschool isn’t mandatory so you may be reluctant to take the leap and send your child to nursery school or preschool.  Other parents don’t have a choice economics dictate that both parents work and preschool becomes a must.

The Benefits of Preschool to Your Child

There are many reasons why you ought to send your children to preschool, such as the socialization and education they get there will set them up for when they need to go to school.

A choice for better future of your child

Having your child at home with you for the initial three years of their life may not be as useful for them, and as we want the best for our children, preschool is a vastly improved choice to take.

Seeing our little ones off when they go to school is hard for most parents, it seems like just yesterday they were newborns that you cradled in your arms.  You need to remember that your child will learn, they will make friends with other children and they will be prepared to thrive in school when the time comes.

The chance to mingle

One of the best things about preschool is the opportunity for your children to interact with others.

Your child will learn social skills, and have the capacity to play and talk pleasantly to other children and adults. It is important that your child develops great communication skills before attending school.  The ability to communicate, play and share with others is a skill they will use the rest of their lives.  This is the age where they learn to share and you can teach them good habits like picking up their toys.

Preschool allows them to learn skills suitable for their age, painting, coloring, drawing, listening to stories and before you know it you will have a fridge covered in “art”.  Don’t feel guilty enjoying the little slice of quiet while they are at preschool, they are having fun too.
